Damage Protection

Damage Protection offered by Rent Luxury is designed to provide members with peace of mind against certain types of damage that may occur during the rental period.  

Purchase Damage Protection under 'Pricing'

Damage Protection Coverage: 

• Repairable Damage: Covers costs associated with repairable damage. Examples include broken zips, clasps, closures, missing beads and minor stain removal. 

What is NOT Covered: 

• Damage Beyond Repair: Rent Luxury shall, at its sole discretion, determine whether certain damages are beyond repair, in which case, such damages will not be covered by Damage Protection. 

• Loss or Theft: Loss of the item due to negligence, theft or other reasons is  not covered. 

Responsibility for Damage Beyond Repair:

If the damage to the item is irreparable, the renter may be liable to cover the total estimated market value of the item or the cost of replacing the item, as determined by the Rent Luxury team.

A Note to Lenders:

In cases of repairable damage, Rent Luxury may, at its sole discretion and as a gesture of goodwill, assist the lender with the repair process and contribute to the associated costs. Any such reimbursement is:

• Not guaranteed

• Subject to a maximum amount agreed upon prior to listing the item on Rent Luxury's platform

• Conditional upon mutual written agreement on the scope and cost of the repair

For the avoidance of doubt, Rent Luxury shall not be held liable for any loss or damage to a lender’s item. Any assistance provided under this policy is voluntary and does not constitute an admission of liability or an obligation to compensate.
